Literacy for a Lifetime offers a 50% matching grant in books for every dollar contributed.

Literacy for a Lifetime tm is a 50% matching grant program partnering Usborne Books & More with businesses, foundations, and individuals who support reading at organizations and schools of their choice. Reading is the heart of education! As the leading publisher of children's non fiction books, Usborne Books & More carries over 1400 Usborne and Kane Miller titles, including fiction, story books, activity books and more, where reading is fun for kids of all ages. The Literacy for a Lifetime program matches any corporate or individual donation or grant that purchases books from Usborne Books & More with an additional 50% in free books. For example, when a corporation donates $10,000 in books from Usborne Books & More to a local elementary school, Usborne Books & more will donate an additional $5,000 in books to the school.

A Literacy for a Lifetime matching grant program is an excellent way to expand a library collection, build a leveled book room, or provide supplemental classroom materials.

The Literacy for a Lifetimeprogram can also be used with the following:

Schools, Libraries and Organizations Brochure

Business donations are made to the educational institution of your choice, which are then forwarded to EDC/Usborne Books Representative for the matching grant portion of your donation.

   Donations made to the educational institution are tax deductible to corporations, individuals, and foundations.

 Donations of $200 or more will receive a 50% matching grant from EDC with Usborne books. For example, a $1,000 donation will result in $1500 in Usborne books to the receiving organization.

 The organization receiving the books has full control over their selection of Usborne books, from an array of over 1300 titles.

 The matching grant program can be used as often as donations/grants become available. There is no cap on the amount that can be donated or matched.
