Usborne Books & More provides K-12 supplemental materials to support educators as they implement these new Common Core State Standards (CCSS). We’ve made the selection process easy with Usborne and Kane Miller titles which are aligned with the standards.

As an endorsing partner of CCSS, Usborne Books & More will help schools and families choose books to help educate their children, both within the school setting and at home. Certain topics mandated by these standards include myths, stories from around the world, and informational text.

This state-led initiative is currently approved in 48 states, 2 territories and District of Columbia. The Standards were launched more than a year ago by state governors and state commissioners of education. The federal government was not involved in the development of these standards.

Consistent standards will provide appropriate benchmarks for all students, regardless of where they live. These standards define the knowledge and skills students should have within their K-12 education careers so that they will graduate high school able to succeed in entry-level, credit-bearing academic college courses
and in workforce training programs.
